  1. Basic characteristics:

    TA4 titanium alloy is an alpha type titanium alloy that is in an alpha single-phase state at room temperature and operating temperature, and cannot undergo heat treatment (annealing is the only form of heat treatment). It mainly relies on solid solution strengthening. The room temperature strength is generally lower than that of beta and alpha+beta titanium alloys (but higher than industrial pure titanium), and the strength and creep strength at high temperatures (500-600 ° C) are the highest among the three titanium alloys. Its organization is stable, with good oxidation resistance and welding performance, corrosion resistance and processability are also good, but its plasticity is low (thermoplastic is still good), and its room temperature stamping performance is poor. The most commonly used is TA7, which has moderate strength and sufficient plasticity in the annealed state, good welding performance, and can be used below 500 ° C. When the content of impurity elements (oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen, etc.) in the gap is extremely low, it also has good toughness and comprehensive mechanical properties at ultra-low temperatures, making it one of the excellent ultra-low temperature alloys.
