NS3308 is based on C276, which increases the chromium content of the alloy and reduces molybdenum and tungsten, with extremely low carbon and silicon content, achieving strong oxidation medium corrosion improvement of C4 and C276. Although the corrosion resistance of the oxidizing medium has been improved, the resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion has not been significantly improved. It has excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking and good resistance to local clothing. It has satisfactory corrosion resistance characteristics in many chemical process media. Due to its extremely low carbon and silicon content, this alloy is very suitable for manufacturing corrosion-resistant welding equipment, containers, and pipelines in the chemical industry without the risk of sensitization. Alloys have the ability to resist the formation of grain boundary precipitation in the welding heat affected zone, which enables them to adapt to many chemical process applications even in the welding state.
